2024 Louisiana SLAM Tournament Results

The 2024 Louisiana Slam is in the history books for the 20th year this tournament has  provided fun events, outstanding fishing and lots of Louisiana hospitality.  Many  new anglers came to Venice Louisiana to fish this annual event with  28 Ladies releasing 2213 Tournament fish with  over 1600 being redfish.

Our hosts, tournament chairs Rebel Caplinger, Suzie Villere and Julie Hebert once again treated the ladies to outstanding events featuring  gourmet cajun cuisine.  The Jimmy Buffet party was a hit with anglers dressing in their favorite parrot head attire.

Congratulations to all our winners!  This years Grand Champion is Amy Lockhart who is no stranger to the IWFA Tournament scene.  This year Amy got off to a great start with leading the tournament Day 1 as top angler.  Coming into second place is also a frequent IWFA tournament attendee and the IWFA Conservation Chair,  Leiza Fitzgerald.  However, one of the evenings hits was seeing new member Karen Racicot take the podium 4 times for her 3rd place finish in the tournament plus Newcomer Award, Top Angler Day 2 and first place team.

Everyone cheered on all of our winners accomplishments.  See below for a full list of the tournament winners.
